It takes a village

In December 2019 Shelton and Mason County took the Hallmark Channel head on.

Historically known as the Christmas Tree Capital of the World, Shelton and Mason County celebrated this distinction with an attempt at the Guinness World Record for “Most Lit Christmas Trees” in one location. The previous record was set by Hallmark in 2015 was 559 trees. Christmastown record was 797!

Each year the community has come together to recreate the maze in a different shape. One year it looked like two giant Christmas trees, another the shape of WA state with a heart right where Christmastown was!

This year we are still creating a festive lit Christmas tree walk and there will be lots of snow on open nights… but this year we’re also adding Camp Grisdale! We’re leaning into our timber heritage and inviting Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox to host an epic 12 DayLine Up of events with live music, crafts, vendors, fire pits and our other favorite larger than life friend – Santa!

There is no admission charge. Parking is free. Dogs are welcome.
